dBpoweramp Renaissance
dBpoweramp Renaissance
dBpoweramp Renaissance is a revitalization of dAP (dBpoweramp Audio Player), re-built from the ground up with specific unique goals (think Sonos or Squeezebox Systems). Development is currently at stage 2. µPlayer Designed to be the most efficient (in terms of memory footprint and resources used) audio player ever designed, featuring: Gapless playback ReplayGain Built in UPnP (Renaissance appears as a Renderer) Multi Audio Collection Aware Multi Zone Capable Gapless playback: sample perfect decoding of mp3, Ogg and of course any lossless format. UPnP Renderer: Renaissance can be controlled by other programs, it can stream audio from a NAS / web for a distributed system where multiple playback devices can scattered around the home and playback from a single audio store, controlled by hand-held remotes, such as the iPod touch. Multi Audio Collection Aware: uPlayer works with multiple audio collections, queue files for one collection and with the same player que a separate list of files under a different name. Assign multiple output zones to a single collection. Multi Zone Capable: µPlayer is able to play the same audio perfectly synced through multiple sound cards. Putting Multi Audio Collection / Zones together - think of a whole home system, 4 or 5 zones, one persons audio collection could be playing through-out all downstairs zones, upstairs another persons audio collection can play. All these zones are handled internally from a single efficient program - uPlayer could playback 20 independent streams using less memory and resources than a typical player. µPlayer is a command line player, it is able to interface programmatically with external 'controlling' programs, or interact with simple command line switches. Installation http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/uplayer.exe 2 MB µPlayer will run on Windows 7 / Vista / XP / 2000 By default uPlayer can decode: Apple Lossless, FLAC, mp3, m4a, Wavpack, Wave, Ogg, Monkeys Audio, Musepack, AIFF All codecs mentioned above can stream from the internet (*** with the exception of Apple Lossless / m4a) Other codecs install from Codec Central: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm Applications As a UPnP player, requires: a) UPnP Renderer: dBpoweramp Renaissance provides this, install on your PC, or a light-weight computer, such as ATOM, or ION based system, have a few scattered around the home, b) UPnP Server: Asset UPnP catalogs and serves your audio, auto updating changes to the library: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/asset-upnp-dlna.htm c) UPnP Control: The iPod Touch is well suited, with some thing like 'PlugPlayer': http://www.plugplayer.com/ uPlayer is designed to be controlled from other applications, either by the command line or through a COM object: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/developer-...ng-uplayer.htm Last edited by Spoon; 08-07-2009 at 09:47 AM. |

Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance
DSP Effect ReplayGain (Apply)
Add ReplayGain abilities to uPlayer. To use, install DSP as instructed: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthre...1031*blooper*post81031 In the folder: %appdata%\dbpoweramp\uPlayer\ create a file called: default-dsps.bin Drop it into notepad and add: ReplayGain (Apply) -mode="0" Save the file as 'Unicode' encoding. That is it, start uPlayer and: Any audio files with track gain are processed, files without trackgain have the trackgain calculated and the values are stored in an internal DB for next playback. Customizations: -mode="1" apply album gain (must be present in the id tags) -activedb="-1.23" lower the volume for files with RG -nonactivedb="-1.23" lower the volume for files without RG -nocalc do not calculate RG when is missing |

Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance
Updated to Beta 0.2
UPnP Added Extra Codecs added into install: ogg m4a (inc apple lossless) monkeys audio musepack aiff Internally has a 8 second buffer for streaming Added {_KILLEXT_} to filenames, allows an internet stream without decoder extension to be specified, ie: http://www.server.com/url{_KILLEXT_}.mp3 where everyting after url is dropped When have a url such as http://www.server.com/a.mp3?content=1&b=2 strips all after ? to find extension |
