Keyboard controls for DAP

Are there keyboard equivalents that DAP recognizes?

I am looking at a remote control product that supports supplying keystrokes to an application to control it, but I don't recall seeing any alternative to the "GUI and mouse" approach.

Have I overlooked it somewhere?

Start --> Progams --> dBpowerAMP Audio Player
I believe the shortcut is called Keyboard Options or something similar. I cannot give you a certain answer as I do not have dAP installed on this system.

I'm running release 3 beta 6, and I do not see the Keyboard options entry.

If someone can post a reply with the contents, or direct me to another location to find the table, that would be great.

Otherwise, I'll trying using the Control Freak programs, and initiate those from a VB program.

Not in dAP itself, in the Start menu folder under Configuration. Do you see it there?

No, I'm afraid it isnt there. Nor on DAP. I'll peruse the application folders, annd see if it is just a missing shortcut.

The shortcut is

"<install folder>dBpowerAMP\config.exe" <keycontrol>

That is the path to the keyboard control. And it should be in the Configuration folder of dBpowerAMP.

Found it on a old Remote Control screen that I had saved to my hard drive.
That screen has been dumped from the website along with remote control.

Thanks for your help, if this works I'll be able to get a Griffin AirClick work with dap this weekend!

There isn't a config folder in my version, I must have stopped on a odd beta combination of the products, probably about the time Spoon started work on R12.....

dAP r3 beta six has the config folder and it has been out since Oct 2004. Before that, Beta 5 had the config folder and came out May 2004.

If your not using r3 beta six, you should probably update your version.

Thanks for following through so completely, and convincing me to get current. I installed (re-installed?) Beta 3r6, and everything appeared.

I am now experimenting with remote and dAP, and I hope to be hooking it up to my "big rig" by the end of next weekend.
