Voice memo .M4a conversion fails

Hi there,

On multiple Win 7 machines with clean installs of dbpower amp I get the following error. We get sent a lot of iOS voice memo recordings (m4a and are unable to convert them. This happens on all .m4a files. Any help much appreciated.

Error converting to mp3 (Lame), 'C:\Users\goughjo\Downloads\test converter.m4a' to 'C:\Users\goughjo\Downloads\test converter.mp3'
Error Chunk is out of file. [clMP4Handler::ScanFile]

The stock voice memos app - ios 11

Are you using R16 (windows or Mac)? I have just tried with a memo and converted it to wave without issues.

That is why then, in the last 10 years much effort has been put into the m4a decoder.

Just spoke with our sys admin. Our licence has long expired so unable to upgrade and in the process of sourcing funding for 200 new ones.
