Run this program, check the box to remove all settings, then reinstall and rip one of those discs without changing any settings (would rip to flac).

Okay, thank you Spoon, I will do that. But I would like to finish ripping what I can before uninstall and reinstall, just in case. So it will be a good few days before I run it. I am keeping a list of the discs that wont rip the audio tracks, so I can just do those again when the time comes! Thank you!! I am also a little afraid that I may have problems reinstalling, passwords or something like that. There are so many to keep track of. Thanks again, very much appreciate all your help and attention!

Hi Guys, finally I have re-ripped my collection to File Rip 2, I have about 30 discs that wont copy for various reasons, some I know why, disc damage (I have a plan) but most are either because I get the error message that says the file could not be re-encoded or because replay Gain failed. I was finally ready to run the program suggested above but it's for Windows, and I am on Mac. Is there a reset for Mac?

you can always manually cancel if you think something is taking too long. I have situations where rerip 1000s of frame over an hour and get secure at the end. In any case 100 frames and 10 minutes is WAY too low.

p.s. I have some CDs that take forever with rerips on one drive, but a different drive it rips quickly. Always good to have 2 or 3 different drives for ripping for this reason. And these can be cheap. None of my drives cost more than $50 and most of them are just throwawys scavenged from old PC being thrown away.

As was already stated by Spoon, not all discs are recoverable. Some can be with time and patience, and probably a good cleaning. But with that many bad frames on a disc that appears to be pristine, you may be dealing with "disc rot" that cannot be repaired. I have three or four discs from the late 80's that I could not get a good rip from no matter what. I just kept my eyes open in used CD shops and found replacements that worked.

With AccurateRip reporting, at least you know when you have potential issues. Most other programs just rip the bad data and don't report anything back at all.
