I cannot explain what is happening, every half second there is a block of silence audio of about 60 samples, other than that the data is identical. Do you have another drive (different manufacturer) you can try on that PC?

I have uploaded the rip using another drive [Matshita - DVD-RAM UJ870BJ] This rip was reported as Accurate.

Could it be anything to do with the ripping speed?

Should not be, every ripping speed a normal drive would give the same results on good discs. Looks like a buggy drive.

I've used dBpoweramp for years, and many different drives. This is the first time I have had issues.
It would be much easier to accept what you say "Looks like a buggy drive" if there were similar issues with other rip tools.
Is there anything else we can try to diagnose this?

You could also check whether a firmware update is available for your drive.

There are 2 ways of ripping, one where you ask for an area based on LBA addresses, the other based on MSF (minute seconds frames), dBpoweramp uses the former, the other programs use the latter most likely. All drives should work both ways, it is a simple fundamental, however we cannot rule out one drive having issues in such a way.

Yep, sorry. I have tried it on my Windows 11 PC, and Windows 10 laptop. Both just using standard windows security.

Appreciate all the help that was provided, but I've decided to give up pursuing a fix for this.

Just spent my afternoon on the same issue. Seems that the drive is really buggy, but why is EAC working correctly out of the box with it? No way to debug why Win Native is not work?
