Is there an issue with the MusicBrainz tag server?

When I started ripping CD's this afternoon, the ripper would often hang for up to a minute with the "metadata" tab "depressed". The CD's I'm ripping are unlikely to be in any database, so I tried a Telarc CD that I'm pretty sure is in all the databases. Same slow response. Noticed there was no recovered tags from MusicBrainz. Removed the checkmark for MusicBrainz and tried again. Normally fast recovery of metadata, no delay any more. Turned MusicBrainz back on, long delay looking for metadata again. Tried several times, very repeatable.

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the MusicBrainz Server? For the time being I've removed it from my tag searches.

The issue seems to have been resolved now. MusicBrainz is responding in a reasonable time (a few seconds) now.

I have just tested the server it is working correctly and lookups are normal.
