No, not crap. Works very well. Perhaps you've set something up wrong. A better first post would be to provide as much info on the problem you're having so you can get some help here. There is support. This forum provides support and assistance, including timely answers from the program developer, Spoon.

Did the initial setup work (i.e., reading key disks in order to set up accuraterip, drive setup, etc.). Have you read this yet:

Try this to reset all settings, then reinstall:

...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It

Did as you suggested after the same problem occurred. Got one disk ripped fine then it refused to recognise any disk in the CD tray. Deinstalled reinstalled - same problem.

Do you have any security software which might be putting CD Ripper in a sandbox?

If you open dBpoweramp Configuration >> Music Converter tab >>

enable the very last Debugging option.

Then start CD Ripper, wait 1 minute, then close CD Ripper, a debug log will show, copy and paste it as a message here please.
