    CDGrad.exe and Lumesnion Device Control

    Hi,

Lumension Device Control is a software solution that is used to restrict access to physical devices (CD drives, printers, removable storage etc). Since installing Lumension Device Control on my PC I can't rip CDs with dBpoweramp. I have full read/write access to CDs and can rip using MediaMonkey and Media Player. However when I try and rip with dBPowermap each track errors with "Unable to read CD" and a small 57k file is saved to the hard drive for each track.

On checking the Lumension LEMSS server logs, CDGrab.exe is listed as NOPERMISSIONS WRITE-Denied.

As CDGrab.exe isn't a physical device I can't add it to the trusted device group in Lumension Device Control.

Do you know why CDGrab.exe is being detected as a physical device? How can I get detailed information on CDGrab.exe to pass to Lumension support?

    Thanks

    Wayne

CD Ripper >> Options >> Communication >> Windows Internal

should work (if WMP works), not this does not allow advanced access such as c2 pointers.

Thanks Spoon, that worked. Only issues as you stated is that C2 error pointers and a few other advanced functions won't work with the Windows Internal setting. At least it is a work around until we can find out how to get it working with SPT.
