DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN INCREASE VOLUME ON MP3 FILES PLEASE? I HAVE AUDIOBOOKS THAT I CAN HARDLY HEAR ON MY IPOD WHICH RESTRICTS VOLUME LEVEL - IF THERE IS OUTSIDE NOISE THEN IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR - SO IS THERE SOFTWARE THAT INCREASES THE NOISE LEVEL SO I CAN RERECORD TRACKS AT A HIGHER LEVEL PLEASE?

Have you tried normalising your files when ripping/converting using dbPowerAMPs DSP effects?

You could also try mp3gain, if you are using mp3's anyway.
