CD Ripper error in Opus codec

I'm using dBpoweramp 17.3 64bit and it works fine with several audio codecs but I can't use Opus format. The ripper does not extracts the audio tracks from CD. It immediately shows 100% for ripping process and after that it obviously fails to generate the Opus file. See the error messages below....

Hello...

WhatsApp sends audio notes with opus codec inside an ogg file.
At first, if I downloaded the whatsapp audios, they were saved as an ".opus" file. At that time I converted them with dBpoweramp+opus codec without problems.

Now Whatsapp Web downloads...

I am running dbpoweramp 16.6 and attempted to install the opus codec. It stated it installed properly but is not listed under encoders or decoders. I have attempted a reinstall with the same result. Dbpoweramp will not recognize my .opus collection for manipulation....

Could OPUS have 1024kbps added to VBR encoding setting?


I've been playing around converting 6ch 24bit 96Hz flac to opus and 512kbps is listed as max setting. I noticed GoldWave has 1024 and 2048kbps setting for opus.

Opus is a lossy audio codec, designed by the Internet Engineering Task Force. It is a modern codec suited well to streaming (low latency).
