lame and qaac quality question

can I ask a question about lame 320 and V0 quality and QAAC quality settings?

on both encoder there is the setting quality normal or high

does the encoders give better results or do they use old engine?
seeing i have read on many forums ,that high quality...

When I convert a flac file to MP3 CBR 320 with DBpoweramp I get this:


When I use foobar2000 with the latest Lame.exe, then I get this (same source):


I see a noticeable difference between the two conversions. With Foorbar2000 as the better converter (IMHO)....

I've been a long-term user of dbpoweramp and presently have V16.5. I recently noticed there is no option for VBR encoding in the mp3 compression settings (see attachment). I have uninstalled, reinstalled and it made no difference.

Please advise as to what might resolve this problem....

Please, which is the best encoder for mp3 conversion from Flac files: Lame or Franhoufer?
Mp3 is configured as 320 CBR Best quality, Stereo Channel, Frequency as source (44,1).

I did convert a FLAC to MP3. I choose the option free format so I convert it in 320kbps. So the problem here is I use MixMeister to get the BPM of my songs. Converting using dBpoweramp MixMeister cannot detect the song mp3. What gives??? :(

Does this mean that if the trial of the program was used, after the 21 days, Lame could no longer be...

I really like using MP3Tag for all of my file / tag manipulation with my audio files. There is an option to use external tools for conversion, etc., and the dbPowerAMP CLI is one of those tools. I've had quite a bit...

which are equivalent I believe to:
-h Same as -q 2. Recommended. (High Quality, Slow)
-f Same as -q 7. Fast, ok quality (Fast)

I just registered R13 and noticed it was using Lame 3.97. Since 3.98 final has been available for a couple of months, I was just wondering when an update would be available. This is my first experience with dBpoweramp, so I don't even know were to go to check for updates.

After converting a file from WMA to MP3, I notice that in the ID3 tag produced by Lame it says the quality is "78 (V2 and q2)".

Was wondering what the number means, and how to change it?
