LAME 4.0 in dBpoweramp R2026-09-05

Is there any particular reason why the new version of dBpoweramp doesn't use the latest version of LAME (4.0) by default? Looking at the release notes, it seems to consist of a few bug fixes, but nothing particularly controversial.

I have updated to the most recent version and now when I manually enter track names they do not stick unless I also modify the Tag name as well. That was never the case before. Thank you for your help.

After updating to version 2026-09-05, CD Ripper frequently crashes on startup and/or after a few rips. Since updating yesterday, it has crashed 6 times (see attached).

I have uploaded the most recent crash log; please let me know if you'd like to see any of the others....

I'm trying to configure Batch Ripper to create separate Disc N subfolders for multi-disc releases, while leaving single-disc albums without the extra folder.

My naming string is:

I have recently updated from R16.6 to 2026.05.25 and would like to convert some dsf files to flac which I know have no musical content above 20kHz. Should I use the DSD Decoder to convert directly to 44.1kHz or should I first convert to 96kHz and then use the new ARDFTSRC to downsample to 44.1kHz?...

i've added reasonably large images and their pixel dimensions show correctly, but when viewing them, they're small. dragging their windows larger does not enlarge them. is there a way to view them at their actual sizes?
