Confirmed. The Nero AAC codec doesn't see Nero 7. However, this might depend on my installed location (D:\program files\nero) or the new version, I am unsure. I do note that the "Compression Settings" button does not work either.

The CODEC required to compress 'file.mp4' could not be opened.

I'm having the same problem with dBpA Music Converter and Foobar. Nero 7 seems to have installed to the same directories as Nero 6 yet I can't use either to trigger NeroAAC. If I put the Nero 6 files back everything works fine so probably not a coincidence.

Still Problems with Nero 7.0.1.2 ?!

I know the problem, it occured with the first Nero 7 Version that was leaked and also the second Nero 7 Version didn't solve it. I played around a bit and found out, that with the old AAC.DLL from Nero 6.0.16 it was possible ... i did NOT find out, if it's the AAC.DDL or the AACenc32.DLL that is responsible for the Encoding. Maybe someone other knows this!

Meanwhile i have installed the first official Nero 7 Version, the 7.0.1.2, and my problems are gone, with both, the AAC.DLL and the AACENC32.DLL in the new Version. Check this!

2 files are needed for encoding with nero's aac
aacenc32.dll... and some other one thats in the folder with it
at least thats all that nero frontends needs to encode :D i dont have the new dlls so i dont know if it works with them

i now have 7.0.1.2, but still nothing from dBpoweramp, could some please help me, i'd really appreciate it, love both dbpoweramp, and nero.

Relax, chillax, just playin' with ya.

I tried working the NeroAAC thing for Nero 7 and got the same result as everything else is saying in this thread - failure. I think Spoon will address this shortly. Let's stay tuned for him.

if you guys are on about burning audio cds with NERO 7 (something i should know as ive read your posts but im really DRUNK and have been on my pc for the last 8 hours messing around with DVDs and MP3s so LOL :o ) then theres one solution encode all your audio files with MP3PRO that comes with NERO 7!! i lost 4 discs in the last 40 mins :cry: all my files were encoded with dbpoweramp Mp3 lame to 128Kbps like usual (had no problems with nero 6) but all failed then converted with NERO MP3PRO and no problem so try it and dont give up!!!

Hyp3r, buddy, you must be really drunk or whatever cos' I'm making no sense of what you just said :D

What are you trying to do? encode something to mp3pro? encode something to mp3 Lame? or simply burn an audio cd? And what fails?

And what are you trying to do with Nero 7 in all this? the burning to audio cd part? the conversion to anything part and starting from what?

dBpowerAMP doesn't work with the Nero7 codec. Why would you need it specifically in any case?
