    Editing multiple tracks in dMC

    Hello,

If I'm editing multiple tracks within a folder, I'd like to be able to move from one track to the next while still in edit mode. For example, if I have 10 tracks for which I'm updating the track numbers on, it'd be convenient to have Previous and Next buttons instead of having to open and close individual files.

Here's a quick stab at how this might work:

By checking an element, this copies the value across all selected files. Anywhere in the process this value can be changed, but as long as it's checked it'll change the value for all of them. Unchecked elements will retain their unique values.

When the user checks an element for which there are different values and then he goes to the next track and unchecks that element, should all the values be reset to what they originally were? Or maybe just to the last individually changed value?

Thanks, I hope you don't mind me meddling with your design... I think dMC is a great product.

Not sure if this addresses your problem, but you can highlight several files and modify their ID tags at the same time. Whatever tags you change will apply to all of them, fields you don't change remain unchanged.

Yup, I'm aware of it. Just suggesting some added functionality so users could change the same element with different values without having to open and close for each file.
