I've been thinking about an option on selective play to regulate what file types would play. I've got a bunch of songs on my playlist that are both in monkeys and mp3 format, and there are times when I use both- for example, when I'm doing processor-hungry work I like to use mp3, while when I'm doing stuff like word processing then monkeys doesn't slow things down at all. So here's my request:
-An option in selective play to "turn off" a file type
-Another option to have DAP choose the highest-quality version of a file possible and "block" all others
(alternatively- "layer" file types - for example:
If .mp3 version is present but no other copies are, play mp3
If .ra version is present, play but do not play mp3 version if present
If .ape version is present, play and do not play mp3 or ra types if present
Of course, the user would have to be able to pick which type would overpower which other, and the whole thing seems insanely complicated. So you'll probably just want to ignore this entire bit within the parenthesies here )
