Well, I never tried coverting audio under an user account. But that should be made to work too if it does not.

But ripping CDs works only under administrator.

Select the Advanced CD Ripping option to 'NT/2000 built in (limited)' that will work under non-admin.

Yes, I noticed that too. But shouldn't the software be made to work without administrator permissions by default?

What do you lose by using the limited option?

For most people you will not notice any difference (off the top of my head I cannot remember, but it was quite small).

But nevertheless, illustrate should make the program work for a user account type by default.

No, you can use a limited user account. Just give full access to the dMC Install folder, the rip-to folder, and pick "Windows Built-In (Limited)" or "2000/NT Built-In (Limited)" as the CD Communication. You should then be able to rip a CD in your limited account.

Also, note that the thread was referring to dMC the whole time.

Actually the latest beta version of dMC will detect a non admin account and auto select that option.

It should, as long as the user account rips to a folder it as permissions for and an Administrator account installs the program.

Converting, for sure. I don't use the CD ripper. But I object to paying for software that doesn't work; as this doesn't, except in my account.

How to get a refund? Or better, a working version!!!!!!
