    M4a/Mp4 tag conversion

Is there any way to convert the WM tags from my wma lossless when I convert to .m4a or will iTunes recognize and convert them on import?

If not I wish for the tag converter to be able to create m4a/Mp4 tags.

dMC has a "Preserve Tags" for when you convert files. For a WMA Lossless file, go to the beta section of this forum and download the WMA 9.1 Codec. This will enable dMC to decode the WMA lossless file. Also, make sure you have .m4a encoder.

      Re: M4a/Mp4 tag conversion

Yep, I'm doing that already. The problem is that the resulting .m4a files have Windows Media tags and not native .m4a tags. I'm converting some wma lossless for my brother who has a Mac and iTunes. I don't know if iTunes will recognize Windows Media tags in .m4a files or not but I'd rather just convert the tags while converting the files. When I tried the tag converter codec utility it said that the mp4 codec needs to be updated to the new tag standard or something to that effect. So I'm wishing for the mp4 codec to be updated so that it can write native mp4 and m4a tags.

dBpowerAMP wouldnt write the wrong tag type to a file, if a .m4a file is created then m4a type tags are written.
