    Streaming Audio

Can dbpoweramp make a player/converter that takes streamed audio and turns it into mp3's or into what ever format you'd like (other codecs)?
And if dbpoweramp can't make a streaming program is there any exisiting software that's free that can stream and turn stream audio into mp3's?

If you cannot download the streaming audio file, then you can use dMC Auxiliary Input to record the audio as it is being played through your soundcard. You can record it to wav or mp3 or whatever else you have codecs for.

When you can play an audio file in a player on your pc but you cannot convert it to another format, there are 2 possible explanations and solutions for that: 1) You do not have the proper codecs for the file Using the file extension as a guide, go to Codec Central (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm) and download
