If I take a 24-bit WAV file in "PCM" format and convert it to APE, and then convert it back to WAV, the "format" changes to "Wave Format Extensible", with Sub-Type of "PCM". Unfortunately, the software I use for 24-bit wav files doesn't support this type of file. (The format info is based on how the files are displayed in the Windows Explorer popups, enhanced by dMC.)
Please implement an option to convert APE files to 24-bit PCM WAV files.
Also -- I see that there is the option when converting to WAV to match the original bit depth, sample rate, and number of channels. Excellent! I didn't notice this before, but it's very helpful.
Thanks!
