Apple itunes m4b decoder/encoder codec

I am looking for an itunes m4b MP4 codec. All I can find right now is an m4a codec. Is anyone working on this already?

Hi,

I am trying to convert files from mp3 to m4b so that my iPod recognises them as Audiobooks and stores them in the correct place (and uses bookmarking). Does dbpowerAMP allow me to do this and if so how? If it doesn't does anyone know of a different program that will allow this conversion please?

If this is in the FAQ, plese can you link me to the relevant part or post as I couldn't find it when I read through before.

I believe all you need to do is convert your file to a m4a/mp4 file and change the extension to m4b to allow your iPod to bookmark them and all of that good stuff. See here to learn how to change extensions: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5361
