small app to rebuild ipod database

A small stand-alone app that could search an ipod for lost files and rebuild the database would be great. I could then use windows explorer to transfer files to (or delete from) my ipod, and use this app to fix iTunesDB.

This code obviously exists somewher in Sveta portable audio - making it standalone would let me simplify my HDD.

also, can I uninstall dBpowerAMP player, but leave dBpowerAMP Music Converter in place, without losing the ability to copy files to ipod, find lost files, etc.?

Yes the player is seperate.
