problem with VBR in version 10

I use the program and i was very satisfied with version 9. Until the moment I upgraded to version 10: problem is that constant bitrate is not really CBR! I convert .wav to .mp3 with the highest settings: studio quality and 256 kbits.
The result is that the bitrate varies between 256 and 260. Because I use the .mp3-files in a broadcast program, the mp3 playback-engine doesn't recognizes the right time in the track. So I temporarly downgraded to version 9 again. Is it possible to solve this problem? Thanks.

I believe it's because you chose to use the "Studio Quality" preset, which by default converts your WAV to a VBR mp3 file.

If you want CBR at 256kbps, I suggest you use the "Alt Preset CBR" preset, and change the bit rate on the slider to 256kbps.
