    My Two Cents worth....

As you aready know from other posts I think that powerAmp and accessorised components are hands down the BEST ones that I have tried. Even better sounding now than before It is my regular media player on my computer (as you already know from previous posts) and I reccommend it to any of my customers within earshot or friends who are desiring a powerful audio program for their computers that do not take up a tremendous amount of system resources.

However, If I were going to wish for anything in future developments it would be:

    Drag and Drop Playlist options
Being able to create Smart Playlists based on info in ID tags
    Better crossfading ability

Perhaps a more streamlined integration with portable audio players (aka iPods, etc) - and integration with audible format files (I know, I mentioned it elsewhere, but hey, I can wish )

And integration of Smart Playlists into portable devices on the fly.

So far that is all I can think of. The bottom line of it all for me is how it sounds and how stable it is, and you win hands down on that one in my experience.

I would have paid money for this program, and been very happy to do so. I've spent a lot more on softs and gotten much less satisfaction from them

Can you go into more detail on these 2 please?

It is currently central to my focus to integrate everything, currently the new dMC CD Ripper will highlight tracks already present in your MMC and the latest Beta of dAP has a synchronize with Portable players.

I suppose specifically I was thinking about this more along the lines of integration with my iPod. In iTunes one can create Smart lists, where you can select limiters within your music library and it will generate those playlists for you automatically. So if you wanted all the soul music in your collection between 1960-1978 but WITHOUT James Brown, you can do that in iTunes, provided the ID tags are correct in your library. The cool thing about that interface is that you can drag this playlist onto the iPod icon and it will automatically place that playlist and copy those songs on to your portable player.

Additionally if Poweramp could sync up my music ratings on the iPod with it's own database, that would be nice. No, that would be freaking FANTASTIC. Then I could create a playlist based on the ratings I've given songs.

I suppose what it gets right down to, is that I like PowerAmp more than any other play I have used before, It is and will continue to be my preferred player on my machine and would wish that it had those one or two features that iTunes has which DAP doesn't yet (audible media support as well as the stuff mentioned above) so I could tell iTunes to kiss off and then do away with it completely. Dap sounds better than iTunes, and takes up less system resources, and doesn't get bogged down when I am running other applications like iTunes does.

So perhaps this thread should have been in Sveta instead, if so I apoligise.

      Keep up the good work.

Checkout the latest Beta of dAP, it has the syncing - and a few clicks you can create a selective play just like you said then sync that selective play with the iPod.

You have given me a few ideas though, thanks.

Hey all thanks are to you, man. Thanks for making a great product and thanks for helping me out with my audio questions when no one else seemed to be able to answer them.

BTW - where can I download the beta version? Dumb question I know. Additionally, I bought powerPack a few months back. Did that include Sveta or do I need to buy that separate? I got kind of confused looking at the Sveta page....but then again when I was looking at it I was exhausted and irritated with my machine......

            hi, newest beta sveta: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=2454

            newest beta dmc: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=2261

            newest beta dap: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=2045

you don't need to buy sveta seperatly from powerpack. powerpack and sveta can be used under the one liscence/purchase.

Thanks for the links. I downloaded all of them and have been playing with them for the past few days. Like the update on the crossfading - sounds more "natural" than it seemed to before, if that makes any sense.....

When I spoke about the ability to creat smart playlists I was thinking along of the lines of something like this http://www.smartplaylists.com/.

The way they have iTunes set up, you can create all sorts of silly or necessary limits on playlists based on whims, and have them imported into iPods. So you could created playlists based on the number of times you played a song, or how you rated it, or genre or whatever....

While using DbPowerAmp and the newest Sveta while I saw it was able to create "smart" playlists, this seemed to only work in terms of what the program would see as the same artist or album, but nothing else.

And while I was using the PowerAmp specifically, I wasn't able to figure out how if at all I could create smartplaylists as described above, or playlists at all and import them into iPod with Sveta. I DID see the sync to my portable player feature for the entire library however.

If there IS a way to do this, please forgive my stupidity on the subject.

At the risk of repeating myself, I really LOVE the poweramp program, but in some ways am being forced to use iTunes, which I don't really like overall for reasons as explained in earlier posts.

I think it would be a neat idea if you could integrate those better features into Poweramp that are a part of iTunes (the seamless integration into Sveta and PowerAmp that you mentioned earlier as one example). And I know a LOT of Windows users who are equally as frustrated with iTunes as I am, and would be more than happy to hit the "uninstall" key on it should a program come along that had all the merits of iTunes, but none of the hassles (which are legion).

You've a great program. I chat it up as much as I can to anyone who will listen.

Thanks for your time, and keep up the good work.

unfortunatly i can't answer this one. i don't have an mp3 player so i know nothing about how it all works with sveta and MMC etc...

hopefully someone with experience in this can answer.

i'm not sure what Spoon's future plan is but i would say he has taken all this and then some more into consideration when developing more features.

and there are no stupid questions around here :D
