aac on Mac

I got very excited when I just discovered dBpoweramp for Mac. But I'm correct that while it can do ALAC only the Windows version does aac, right? If I am I wonder if there will be a future possibility for the mac version. Without it dBpoweramp/Mac might as well not exist, for me.
