Preserve sample rate in MP3 convertion?

    Hi Spoon,

Just noticed an annouyance in the convertion interface, when creating MP3's you get the option to set the sample rate from like 8Khz to 48Khz but there's no referance to the original files sample rate so you can match.

My main issue is that I'm doing a lot of mass convertions via large playlists of FLAC -> MP3. Now some of these lists contain over 800 tracks of which probably about 100 are actually 48Khz. Could you add an option to preserve the original files sample rate, say like a "As source" option in the pull down box? Of course if the source is larger then 48Khz it would have to convert it, say 88khz -> 44.1 and 96/192Khz -> 48.

Otherwise I'm going to have to find some other tool that'll generate playlists based on sample rates and split all my lovely music type lists in half.

    Thanks! :smile2:
