Hey Spoon,
as I've learned Windows 8 and higher open an instance of batch converter for each selected folder that I select in the file explorer and try to convert by clicking the "Convert To" menu entry in the context menu. Up to Windows 7 the selected folders were opened in one instance of Batch converter and all folders were selected within this one instance of Batch converter.
So I would like to see new features in R16:
1.) Selection criteria
Up to now the user had to manually select the folders by clicking the folders within Batch converter. As a substitute for the described explorer behaviour above I would like to have the possibility to select folders by defining criteria like newer or older than the creation date or the modification date of the music files.
2.) Sync mechanism
I would like to see a sync mechanism within Batch converter, so that only those source files that are newer than the destination files are converted, or only those files are modified, that need to be modified (avoid redundant modifications).
We had already a talk about the very slow performance of building up the list of files that will be handled by Batch converter in case of large numbers of files (in my eyes the increase of time is disproportionate).
