    My CD Value

Hi, If this idea is already around please let me know ... I could not find it when I looked.

Many people will be ripping their CDs with a view to selling them after successful ripping. However, many CDs are pretty worthless on the secondhand market. On the other hand some may not be. It would be really great if at the time of ripping dbPoweramp could scan Amazon (or other sellers of used cds) to get a current price.. say the new price and a secondhand price.
A report of cds, sorted by value could save me, and presumably many others, a great deal of wasted time

why would they rip the CDs first and then sell those shortly after? If you sell the CD, you have to delete the files too. Copyright?!?

    Anyway...

1.) New price and a secondhand price are not fix over time. The prices change - they can go down, they can go up. A price tag is only a snapshot, as long as you don't have an automatic update service.
2.) The prices highly depent from your country.
    3.) Amazon is not representative.

From my point of view as an user, a developement in this direction would be wasted time.

I would prefer it if dbPoweramp put the kettle on and make a cuppa.

As already pointed out, doing so while keeping the digital copies would be illegal in some jurisdictions (like U.S.)

Well, ignoring the selling issue, all of your other points are addressed by simple configuration of the software for host country, sources examined, etc. Amazon was only an example, as I said in my note. Obviously prices change, so it would be realistic to check or even ask the software to signal when a price target is reached, be it new or secondhand pricing. In a Google world there is no technical reason why this cannot be done. I am just looking to see if it has been done.. I don't need the lecture. If this software does not exist I might just write it myself.
