    CD-Text and CDplayer.ini support

Hope there will be support for CD-Text in the future !

If dmc would make use of entries in the cdplayer.ini would be also nice

    Thanks for the great work..

Hope there will be a new release soon

dMC already uses cdplayer.ini. When "dMC Audio CD Input" retrieves album information from Freedb the data downloaded is stored in cdplayer.ini

Sorry, i meant when there are existing entries in cdplayer.ini, dmc does not use them.

      For Example
I use another audio ripper which can read cd-text, save the track-list to cdplayer.ini

and start dmc, dmc does not recognise the entries in the cdplayer.ini.

      And the Tracks are unknown.

If i use other programs they recognise the entries in the cdplayer.ini

I occasionally use CDAID to bulk download information from freedb and dMC always picks up the correct data from cdplayer.ini.

Maybe it has something to do with how the data is being stored or how the other programs are calculating the CD's reference number. Have you managed to create multiple CD entries in cdplayer.ini via dMC and your other ripping program and have you compared them?

          No i haven't compared it.

I only noticed that entries from eac and cdex aren't used by dmc.

The Problem is i need a program which can read cd-text and whose cdplayer.ini-entries are compatible with dmc

          Can CDAID read CD-Text?

As far as I know CDAID doesn't support CD-Text.

I have a similar problem with EasyCD Creator which supports CD-Text but doesn't appear to use cdplayer.ini.

I thought it used cdplayer.ini in a compatible manor, atleast if I insert a disc into 'Windows CD Player' then fire up 'Audio CD Input' it takes what was put there by windows.

I'll check tonight but I think that the latest version of EasyCD Creator 5, which is now heavily tied into Gracenote doesn't use cdplayer.ini.
As an example, last night I loaded Rammstein's Mutti into EasyCD and it didn't pick up the details from which dMC had previously stored in cdplayr.ini, the program accessed Gracenote instead.
