The "Review Metadata" window is by far a more practical way to edit metadata over an entire CD than either the "Meta" tab or the main window. Unfortunately, it cannot be used if no metadata was retrieved from the Internet, which is a pity. For instance, the "Smart Capitalize Tags" button allows capitalizing metadata before ripping (contrary to the DSP filter), which I find very convenient.

up +1 for this request!
It would be indeed much more convenient. I have also noticed that if a rip failed and/or was aborted but the metadata have been previously retrieved you have to do it again in order to open "Review Metadata".
It is so close to the original topic that I dared adding it here. Hope you agree.

Re: Allow "Review Metadata" even if no metadata was retrieved form the Internet
A cool and easy way to do this would be to implement a right-click menu selection when a track or tracks is/are selected. A 'Display Tags' selection would show the actual tags as they will be written in exactly the same manner as the Alt-T option in Mp3tag.exe. An even more powerful improvement would permit the user to edit the tags shown in that display or to add and/or delete them, one by one.
By 'exactly,' I mean in the form FIELDNAME=VALUE for each tag, with correct letter case (upper, lower, mixed, etc.)
