AudioChecker Feature

I'd like to see dBpowerAMP add a feature that AudioChecker has. AudioChecker checks the validity of a lossless file to see if the file is genuine lossless or an mp3 converted to lossless.

An mp3 converted to lossless doesn't gain lossless quality and no one who uses lossless wants to have mp3 quality sound. But without a way to check, you might have an mp3 converted to lossless and think it's a genuine lossless file solely because of the size of the file.

Not required with dbpoweramp since you can just rip your own CD instead of downloading a pirated one.

Listen a company's job is to provide things we want not just what the company feels we need. In essence the company works for us since they get paid for their services.

And honestly if you don't think an audiochecker is required then your an idiot or an mp3 user.

What about someone who has 100s of CDs and ripped half of them into mp3 then later found out FLAC sounded better, converted them to FLAC only to find out that it doesn't sound the same converted as straight ripped to FLAC but only after they ripped the other half to FLAC format? You honestly think it's quicker to delete all those audio files and rip 100s of CDs again? dBpowerAMP can convert multiple files, no reason it couldn't check multiple files as well. In reality it could check multiple CDs before the first CD is completely ripped. It's much easier to check the validity of all the CDs and only re-rip the CDs that aren't in original FLAC format.

Hey so, not to dig up this old thread, but some newer CDs have MP3 or AAC tracks burned onto them. The NOW! CDs are famous for this. If you don't believe me, buy NOW! 25, rip using EAC or dBpoweramp, then run audiochecker on the tracks. Tracks 05, 06, AND 13 are all sourced from MP3s. You can verify it on any spectrum analyzer. Yea. Sucks bro, but people are pulling that shtuff now and getting away with it...
