Hi Spoon,
A couple of Klimax DS owners on the Linn forum have noticed distortion on certain tracks, occurring only when played on their KDS. It's been put down to the tracks having high DC content, I understand often a result of poor mastering, to which the rarified signal path in the KDS is sensitive. The suggestion was to use Audacity to apply a high pass filter to any problem tracks. An alternative would be to implement the filter in the KDS, but this goes against design philosophy, as it's unnecessary most of the time.
A DSP effect which looked for a given threshold of DC might be a boon for KDS owners.
I don't own a KDS by the way, just thought you may be interested. It's described in Murray's post on this thread.
