You have a great feature in the IdTagProcessing DSP (for some reason it's not in the almost identical IdTagUpdate codec) that allows conversion between one artist tag that contains multiple artists separated by semi-colon (for formats that don't support multiple values in tags, e.g. itunes m4a) and multiple artist tags (e.g. FLAC-format style).
A new feature request would be enhancements:
(1) to allow that to be done on user-selected field(s)--whether performer, genre, or whatever.
(2) to allow the user to select the direction (optionally giving a warning if inappropriate for the format).
(3) to allow the user to select the delimiter.
#1 is important for me: to get around current m4a tag format limitations, I ended up storing multiple values for artist in one custom (custom for m4a) "performer" field (separated by semi-colons). (don't want to put them in artist field, b/c multiple values in tags are simply not recognized by itunes period and create a mess). That way I can search on them in some way in itunes etc and they don't mess up the artist field AND I can also get them back easily for flac format.
There is probably some way to do it now with dbpoweramp, but it would involve quite a few steps, and this will be a common operation. Thanks. (I also think because of the confusion with different levels of multiple value support between the music formats and between tags, it might be generally useful to have more flexible yet still easy to use cleanup operators.)

Multiple Artist To 'Artist1; Artist2' dBpoweramp follows standards set by tagging formats when it comes to handling multiple artists (each tag type is different). A problem arises when another program does not follow these rules, by not following the rules correctly said program might not read the 2nd Artist, or only the 2nd Artist. This option forces all artists into one artist, separated by '; '. Be aware, programs which follow the tagging conventions correctly will not detect 2 separate artists once forced onto one line.
Multiple Artist From 'Artist; Artist2' does the opposite of above.
