Option of cd-text on the cd writer

Think of the possibility of reading in a modern cd player the songtitles and the name of the performer, as essential. It's the only reason I don't use this cd player. So I am only asking for something all the other similar programs have.

Edit: SORRY! Didn't read carefully, you said CD text... In that case, I'd have to agree with your post. Shouldn't dBpowerAMP Music Player have such a simple yet modern capability?

I don't use the Music Player but I thought it was intriguing nonetheless.

To clarify: al-zoir is requesting that dBpoweramp CD Writer write CD-Text to the CDs it burns.

In the previous version of CD Writer the component that was used to burn the CDs wasn't written by Spoon and was dependent on what the developer provided.

I'm not sure if this is still the case with the latest release of CD Writer as only Spoon can tell us. If it is then we and Spoon must rely on the developer of the burner component to supply said feature.

It is the same component, we are not in control of development of CD Writer core features.

Surely as most burners have this functionality DbPowerAmp should
Make a great product even better or use Nero!

Is there going to be some soft of official response to this feature request?

You may not own the code for the CD burning component, but are you making this request to the developer that you outsource it from?

It's not fair to just tell your loyal customers that you have no control over it. We purchased the software from YOU not your vendors. You do have control. You can request this feature from your developer, look elsewhere or make an official announcement that you will not be supporting it.

Sometimes the attitudes here are really offensive, as if we should be thankful for what we have instead of what we would like to have.

We did request, they were not interested...if you had been asked the same thing over 100 times and there is nothing that can be done.

Just wanted to say that I would love to buy CD-Writer if it supported CD-Text.

I'm looking for a tool to write SHN and FLAC files directly to audio CDs. I'm still using Nero v6 on an old XP box to do this but would love to upgrade. I can't get the newer Neros to work with SHNs.

SO... CD-Writer would be a great option for me EXCEPT that I also need it to support CD-Text. Oh well...

What program are other people using to write their SHNs/FLACs to audio CDs?
