The options for changing case on the Manipulation tab of the [ID Tag Update] tool are a great idea, but frankly they are almost useless in their current incarnation. These are the issues I've found:
1) Tag case changing currently effects every tag, causing it to mess up "fixed value" tags such as "Genre" and "Language(s)". I have never seen a case where this is actually what's needed to fix sloppy use of case. Ideally you should be able to choose which tags to affect. If that is too much effort the tool should only affect the "Title", "Album", "Artist" and "Album Artist" tags. (You could argue for tags such as "Composer" also but in general files that have such tags filled out tends to have quality tagging all over and would rarely improve from automatic case change.)
2) Case changing doesn't work for European accented ANSI characters such as é, à, î, ö, å.
3) "Smart Capitalization" is not smart at all. It apparently just makes every word four letters or longer start with an uppercase initial, and lowercases all shorter words. This rule, while part of the rules for capitalization, is to not enough and is guaranteed to generate very strange-looking capitalization all over the place. The full rules are not that complicated and can be found e.g. here:
4) All five descriptions of the capitalization change options are hard to read as currently presented. They would be much less confusing if you changed them to:
( ) (No tag capitalization change)
( ) all lowercase
( ) ALL UPPERCASE
( ) Capitalization Of All Initial Letters
( ) Smart Capitalization of Initial Letters
