I, as do probably the majority of computer users with a TV card, use Windows Media Centre to record TV and radio programs. The Windows Media Centre that comes with both Windows XP Media Centre Edition and Windows Vista uses the DVR-MS file format http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVR-MS
The problem with this format for audio is that for roughly 2 hours of audio, the file is over 800 mb, so most people would want to recode/encode this to something smaller.
The only program i have found that claims to recode these files is Digital Media Converter - however, what it actually does is play back the file in real time and create an additional file of the audio in the chosen format (well only wave has worked for me).
So i think this is a gap in market!! Comments?
