Removal of Static noises from LP Recordings

Is there any add ons to dBpowerAMP to remove the cracks and pops and static noises made when recording from LP records? I have a large LP records collection and would like to put the music from them onto CD's. However they are going to have all their noisy wonders come with them.

If there is not nothing yet, would it be possible for the developers of this great software program to develope one? A filter to remove pops, clicks and static noises from LP recordings.

dMC doesn't do this, you might want to try Audacity, a free audio editor, to see if it can do this.

You could also try WaveRepair available from http://www.waverepair.com/

It has been specifically created to repair recordings of LPs.

Couldn't dBpowerAMP professionals come up with a codec or a plugin to filter out static noises from LP records?

I spent several months converting my LPs and cassettes to audio files and used Acoustica Spin it Again. It is a very easy to use piece of software and comes equipped with a number of filters for noise removal depending on the level of noise. It is not freeware, but nor is dMC. It is worth the money in my opinion. You get 4 free recordings which is enough to make up your mind. The process is record, edit (where you try out filters) and then save where you get a choice of wav or mp3. Another freeware option is Golden Records from NCH, I was not impressed.
