I've noticed that dMC currently uses "EncSpot 1" code when guessing the encoder. But for example when encoded with some newer "blade" codec - the code guesses that it's "encoded by: Xing (old)" or "Unknown". And it also confuses the FhG codecs - instead of telling "encoded by FhG (FastEnc or Mp3enc)" it tells "FhG (ACM or producer pro)" or again "Xing (very old)" --> :thumbdown . So could you please put the "EncSpot 2" code in use when guessing the codec in the Pop-up info of Explorer. In my experiences it has never lied yet.

I think he made Encspot 2 shareware, rather than freeware so I dont think that is an option. -
it's freeware!
I've got EncSpot 2.0 and it's for free! Although EncSpot Pro is shareware with some advanced options... but you don't need it. The free EncSpot 2.0 was the one i was talking about...!
Because http://www.guerillasoft.com and many other mirrors are down you can download it from www.cd-rw.org at EncSpot MP3 Analyzer v2.0 Basic So please try it!!Last edited by RayDO_TEx; December 22, 2002, 07:28 PM.Comment
