Adding album art to multiple files

Right now it seems the fastest way to add album art is to select all files belonging to an album, then selecting 'edit single' in the 'edit ID-tag' menu.

This still requires me to add the same file x times instead of just once...I'd like to see the possibility to add the album art without having to be in 'edit single' mode.

While we're at it, I'd like to see the possibility to selectively import AMG meta data - I don't want to use their album art because it's quite small.
//edit - found where I can define if I want to use AMG album art, and which size - so this is not an issue anymore. Actually, the 250x250 pixel images are quite ok

    Kind regards,

    Rolf

If you download the ID Tag Update codec you can use this to add album art to multiple files.

You do this by first selecting all the files, right-clicking on them and selecting the Convert To option. Select the ID Tag Update codec and set the option to import the album art from folder.jpg (can't remember which tab it is on but it shouldn't be hard to find).

Re: Adding album art to multiple files

Having started archiving my CDs to FLAC with the trial version, I wasn't too concerned that I was not getting album art from AMG, assuming it was a demo limitation.

Now I've seen the light and made the changes to Kapersky to allow it and bought the full version.

Trouble is now I have a load of ripped albums with no art. I'd therefore like to see a way of recursing though a directory structure, finding music and downloading the associated artwork.

I've got a whole load of MP3s from music store sites that have lost their artwork too, this functionality would be great to reinstate it.

dMC does not currently add artwork to existing files automatically, it must be done manually with the ID Tag Update codec as mentioned above.

Could you use the Batch Converter together with the ID Tag Update codec to update multiple folders/files at the same time?

Yes, Wayne, but the problem is he would have to manually get the album art and put it in the folder before using the ID Tag update, dMC doesn't download it for him.

I currently use the Album Art Aggregator to search for missing Album Art. It is available at http://team.thenexusnet.com/nexus/AAA/
