Sid Conversion

I want to convert .sid music to mp3 or wav or one of the other popular ones. I already tried using the winamp codec to try but it dosen't work to well. dosen't showhow long till its done, etc... Is there a way you can make a sid codec from the winamp file in_sid.dll?
