    DSP/Utility Suggestion

    Hi

I'd like dMC to have the ability to run Utilities (like the ReplayGain one) without having to convert files. The reason is, 99% of my current music collection is already converted to my preferred format, and i'd like to add ReplayGain data to all of them for when i back it alp onto MP3/WMA CD. If tis can already be done can someone please fill me in on how.

Additionally, i'd like to see dMC add a utility to scan tracks for the BPM (Beats Per Minute) rate of the song and then add it to the meta tags.

    You can do this already.

Select the files or folders, select convert to, select replay gain from the convert to drop down (must have the DSP plugin obviously), select calculate album gain if so inclined, press convert.

This will scan and add both track and album gain tags (if you enabled album gain) to your existing files without converting their type or re-encoding.

I second the bpm dsp request, that would a nice addition as the only other commonly available bpm util works only for mp3. (Mixmeister)

        Firstly, excuse the double post.

I tried the ReplayGain utility to add ReplayGain tags to my music. I tried using the Batch Convert but it only converted the 1st song and not the rest.

Is this normal or a bug?

In Batch Converter i selected the folder for which i'd like to run the utility on. I marked it to also include files in all sub-folders.

I'll try it again tomorrow using suggestion.

              Excuse the double post.

I've just try this now, and it only displays the first file in the folders/sub-folders.

That is your problem then, in batch converter, browse to the folder in question, does it show all the files or just one?

Click the "Filter" button, do you have the filetype you need checked?
