    Mod Request for .aac/.m4a codec

    Hi Spoon...

I use the .aac/.m4a codec with dmc for many of my music files...particularly the ones I create as .wav from vinyl records.

It turns out, these files won't stream with iTunes DAAP music sharing, due to something obscure about a metadata atom. This thread:

Can the codec be modified to place the data atom at the beginning of the resulting .m4a files so that iTunes sharing might work with these files?

    Thanks

Ive got the same problem, and cant seem to find an answer. I've converted from FLAC to nero m4a, however the files will not stream from itunes.
It would seem that the meta data must be moved, however i can not figure how this could be accomplished.

    Thanks

      mp4creator -optimize

will position the atoms correctly, try a google search for that.
