Hmm i seem to be having trouble ripping an cd that says on the back that it doesn't adhear to cd specs and it is "enhanced stereo" this is Stand Up by Dave Matthews. It says its in accurateRip but on everytrack it rips and then rips utra 1 and then says it has to do about 17000 re rip bad frames. Isn't that like the whole track?? hmm that would take forever.

Its a copy-protected CD, hence the "doesn't ahear to CD specs". IIRC, they purposefully put in bad audio data that a computer copies but most CD players ignore. My advice? Return the CD to the store and tell them you can't copy it to your iPod/computer and want your money back.

The problem is that the data on the CD itself is purposefuly wrong. Try listening to your EAC rips, do they sound OK?

MUAHHAHA i got it. Ok with this cd the errors they put in it must only be caught by c2 and or only repeat but so many times because i put it on secure with no ultra and 16 max re rips of bad frames and i got an accurate rip result on those options ONLY, i tried every other one. And it did re rip 11 frames and got 10 to match. So if this cd had been scratched and i would have had to use c2 i would be screwed. Damn them, its a great recording to which is the sad part.

well i am slowly getting track by track with various options to rip with accurateRip, unfortunately the behinning of the disc and end want to rerip soooo many times. heres a track i had no ultra passes but 8 re rips on, and c2 and heres the info.

The errors do look intentional, they are spaced at similar distances right through the track. Even with bad c2 data, there seems to be atleast 1 c2 result that is accepted for each of the tracks, not sure how that works out.

I would like to see a test rip button added, with the option to set it to secure or burst, and a test CRC column added. I use these features for a number of functions: re-ripping CDs not in AR in a different drive to check for matching CRCs and also I often get discs that I am unable to rip a couple of tracks and later get a different copy of the same disc, but before I just rip those missing tracks I check that some of the CRCs are the same from the other good rips to make sure its the same pressing.

There is an effective test column, right click on columns and enable the crc column, on a re-rip if the crc matches it is green, otherwise it is red.

Profiles are designed to handle the switch between secure and non secure, also there is a right click on track listing to only re-rip those with problems.

Is there a reason encoding and ripping are not done at the same time - rip while encoding, instead of rip 1 track, encode, rip next track?

Add option to just save the log to the destination folder. I realize this can be done but a check box would be much easier.

When placing a disc in a second drive the CRCs from the rip from the first drive do not show.

Also, it would be nice not to have to do a test conversion and have the CPU work, just a test rip.
