    dBpowerAMP Channel Split Utility Codec

This utility codec has one function, that is to take multi channel audio
and split out the channels, for example:

Take a 6 channel wave file, right click >> Convert To >> [Channel Split]

The following files would be written:

    OrigFileName_Ch1.wav
    OrigFileName_Ch2.wav
    OrigFileName_Ch3.wav
    OrigFileName_Ch4.wav
    OrigFileName_Ch5.wav
    OrigFileName_Ch6.wav

There is also an option to write out more descriptive names such as _Left
    _Center _Back Left, etc

    Wow! This is awesome!

What about the reverse? Can you write something to combine 2 or more such single-channel wav files to create a new multi-channel wav file?

It is on the cards, but I cannot think of a good way to automatically do it, how to select the files, how to recognise a file for a channel, they don't fit into dMC as it handles files seperately.

Hmm, yes, I see. If it can be done at all, maybe as a new program, not actually inside dMC. Not for batch conversions either. And maybe only to handle wav files, would that be easier?

Select number of channels first, then based on that, select the file for each channel according to the appropriate configuration, and an output file name and destination.

          Spoon, I like this, but

When I took the Halo2 E3 preview video, which was encoded in 5.1 audio, I split the channels with this utility. There was still a bit of 'audio leak' for each channel, for example, the center channel did not just contain dialogue, it had music as well.

When I use MediaPlayerClassic to isolate just the center channel, all I hear is dialogue.
