    Direct Show Input Recorder/Ipod/Audible

    I got Direct show to convert and move an audible .aa file to an .aac file. But my ipod won't see it and neither does sveta. But via explorer I can see the file and play it via winamp.

    I placed the file in ipod_control/music/Books/Books.

    I even moved it to a msuic folder of a knwon artist and renamed the tags to match everything about the album but gave it a new song title.

    The file has extension .aac
    Freq = 32000
    Channels = 1
    Bitrate 46 kbps
    Type = ATDS

    The iPod will only play .mp4 or .m4a, not .aac

      OK I am way confused. I thought that what I wanted to do was convert the .aa file to .aac. Instead I should convert to mp4? But the tech specs for Ipod says it plays aac files.
