    dBpoweramp R16.2 beta [Mac]

This is a bug-fix release addressing reported bugs from R16.1.

    Current version:
    R16.2 beta 7

    Download:

    <Released>

    Changes since R16.1
    • Fixed Apple AAC encoder bitrate slider glitch
    • CD Ripper can now deal with discs having 98 or 99 tracks.
    • CD Ripper fixed spurious file rename error messages sometimes appearing when using Multi Encoder.
    • Batch Converter: Prevented left pane from becoming zero sized.
    • Updated Opus library to 1.2.1
    • Improved handling of Converter logs:
"Display Information Log" option now sticks
When converting to one of the lossless formats with verify integrity option enabled, a notice about successful integrity check is added to the information log. Before, verification would only give feedback if an error was detected.
Information logs can be brought up by a menu command after completed conversion without "Display Information Log" checked.
    • Prevented character substitution rules from messing with source path when converting to the folder containing source files [beta 4].
    • Now allows trailing dot and space characters in file & folder names [beta 5].
    • Improved compatibility with Opus files written with FFmpeg [beta 6].
    • Improved enumeration of volumes on Mac OS High Sierra machines [beta 6].
    • Multi Encoder now obeys dBpoweramp's file name character rules [beta 6].
    • Made CD Ripper genre box wider [beta 6].
    • CD Ripper: Fixed toggling specific metadata providers not having an effect if PerfectMeta has not been toggled [beta 7].
    • Converter / Batch Converter: Fixed mistriggered output path sanity checks when converting to Multi Encoder [beta 7].
    • Improved error messages when destination folder cannot be created.

              Re: dBpoweramp R16.2 beta [Mac]

I found the following glitch. Don't know whether it's caused by Dbpoweramp's CD ripper 16.2 beta 3 or Audirvana Plus 3.1.1.

When ripping, I fill in a value for 'Style' in Dbpoweramp. This value ends up in Audirvana under 'Grouping'.
The value filled in for 'Work', which is supposed to end up in Audirvana under 'Grouping', doesn't.
The value filled in for 'Conductor' ends up as an empty field in Audirvana.

Having to correct this by hand for every track is very time consuming so a solution would be highly appreciated!

                    P.S.
Also the value filled in for 'Soloists' ends up as an empty field in Audirvana

Tested writing all of the mentioned fields:
                      Conductor, Work, Soloists, Style

All of them appear to be written correctly. Though how Style is interpreted seems to vary across apps, shown as 'grouping' or 'content group' in some other apps.

Thanks a lot, Peter for your double check. I will now check with Audirvana.

16.2b5, Multi-Encoder, 1) flac -8 2) AAC . File name restricted characters set to Defaults for Windows. Ripped CD has a track with a '?' in it. Proceeds to rip CD fine, but with '?' in the title instead of the standard substitution '¿' , which doesn't happen when only ripping to flac. Obviously this bug has been around for many years. After using NFS mounts for my music server, I have been forced to migrate to SMB which means that songs with '?' in the title are ignored. I brought this bug up many years ago (google it). Still has not been fixed in the latest beta.

In CD ripper, v16b2, a tag is suddenly is not written any more, i.e. Number of Movements. Would very much appreciate a fix

Sorry, can't confirm. What file format are you ripping to? "Movement Count" seems written OK here - tested latest beta vs R15.8 and R16.1, did not see anything out of ordinary.
