I am also unable to see FLAC files and my FLAC files have a .flac extension.

When I click on the 'Filter' button, I do not see FLAC as one of the available Audio Types.

It seems that in my installation (and in the installations of others) the FLAC codec isn't getting loaded.

Same situation here.

Actually, I just looked through a folder with MP3s, and it found nothing there, either.

Also, my folder names are not in alphabetical order. They seem to be sorted by modification date? Not sure how to re-sort. I'm fairly familiar with Batch Converter, as I've used the paid Windows version for years.

As a result of an oversight on our side, .fla extension isn't currently recognized. This will be fixed in the next update.

This is most strange - it sounds like the FLAC codec isn't getting loaded for you.

What OSX version do you run?

I'm running OSX 10.9.3.

Do your FLAC files have .fla extension instead of .flac?

Only issue I found is that I can't convert from FLAC to any other format. When I open a directory with FLAC files, nothing shows up as being able to convert. I have checked the "Filter" pane and found that FLAC is not a file format option. This should probably be added.

I agree with what TobiasL said about the "blueish" background on the left panel. That would help make it more "mac" like.

1) Apple Lossless and FLAC both show bitrate as the raw PCM bitrate instead of the compressed rate.
2) Conversion from Apple Lossless to FLAC does not preserve embedded album artwork.

Nice, that was really quick. Regarding the bluish background I meant sth. like the left pane of this, also with the slim border.

I also just realized that the text in the right pane is smaller. Was that intended?

The icons look ugly (not sure if they look better under windows)

They're mostly carried over from the Windows version and look out of place - they will be hopefully redone before the final version.

No AAC in the codec selection seems strange under OS X

Indeed, an oversight on our side; an AAC codec will be added shortly.

If you pause a conversion the "Pause" button should change to "Resume" imho

In the "Filter Audio Types" window I'd replace the "Back" button with a "Hide" or "Close" button

Perhaps using the typical "macish" blue background color for the left pane might look better than white everywhere (not sure)

Unsure about this one, we still need checkboxes in that pane; if we can make these not look out of place with blue background, I'll add blue background as well.

This seems to only be a visual bug since if you switch to another folder and then switch back the check marks are gone.

Noted, thanks for your feedback.
Other drives will be made accessible in dBpoweramp's file browser in the next update. For now you can access files in arbitrary locations via File => Open menu.
MP3 encoder expiration looks like another unintended behavior, we are looking into it.
