artec wwr4848 not burning

hi, can any one help me, my burner is refusing to write to cd. I currently use win on cd 6, i have tried uninstalling and puttting in nero but get the same results..blanks cd after completed write. I also have tried all different types of cd's with no progress of a cd with anything on it..any reply's would be appreciated!!!!!! thanks in advance

What is in the computer? 1 hard disk and 1 CD writer? both on same IDE controller?
