Sure - maybe a future release?

Meanwhile I can convert them to FLAC using the DSD converter codec in dBPoweramp.
It's still converting them from DSD to PCM anyway.

    Thanks,
    Simon.

It cannot do this on the Pi as our codec has not been ported, I am not even certain if the Pi is fast enough to do in real time.

Ok - so I have some DSD64 files in dsf - can Asset on RPi transcode this? Or do I need to convert in dBPoweramp to FLAC?

    Thanks,
    Simon.

128 is not supported by our codecs currently.

    Hi,
I have just got an album of DSD128 (.dsf) 1 bit/5.64 MHz tracks - normally with SACDs I get them as ISOs rather the individual .dsf or dff files and use foobar2000 to read the ISO and extract the tracks as FLAC files.
Can Asset on RPi serve these after transcoding them to WAV?
Also does the DSD plugin for dBPoweramp support DSD128? At present it does not convert them to a playable FLAC files.

    Thanks,
    Simon.

Updated to this Beta release without issue, functioning fine and stable.
    Are you nearing full release?

    Thanks,
    Simon.

Thanks for the reply. Does this mean the internet radio features will be disabled after 30 days?

It is not currently possible to register.

    No hardware acceleration is possible.

I have just tried this binary on a BeagleBone Black running Debian. It runs quite well and the Beagle is faster than the Pi which should help with transcoding.

Is it possible to register this version? If so how?

I'm also interested if the codecs used for transcoding could be compiled to take advantage of the hardware acceleration (NEON etc.) on the Beagle?

Updated the 10th February build here.. all went well.. database didn't need rebuilding. Rescan of CIFS mounted NAS is noticeably quicker. Still sounds great on my Naim equipment.

So how large is the file tree going likely to be? My ReadyNAS Duo has 1GB of RAM. Next NAS, a ReadyNAS Ultra 2+ has 2GB - will I be able to keep the file tree in the NAS cache?

    Pretty damn cool.
