    Re: CD Writer R3.2

I'm running CD Writer R3.2 on Windows 7 Professional SP1 with the 18-MAR-2011 release of dBpoweramp R14.1 beta, and it's taking a long (longer than normal conversions) to convert files to the temporary format (wav?) needed by CD Writer... it's using almost no CPU on a i5 with 2 cores (4 with hyper-threading), and taking 30ish seconds to transcode two mp3s?!

Also two questions... when erasing CD-RWs, will you be adding the option to quick erase as well as current default of full erase? And am I right in presuming that CD-TEXT is still not supported?

    Thanks,
    -Peter

Many thanks Spoon. Using beta without any problems and Temp CD much faster.

Hi sorry for hijacking, but I upgraded to CD Writer 4 and I still am having the "drive not recognized" error I've tried compatibility setting with every OS
in the list I have Windows 7 (64 bit)
Please advise on how I can get this program to work

Certain bluray drives are not detected, it is not currently possible to offer a solution to this.

CD Writer R3.1 that came with R14.1 would not recognize the Optiarc drive in my brand new Dell Studio XPS 7100 Windows 7 desktop. Installed CD Writer R4 beta and still no luck. Seems odd that CD Ripper recognizes the drive automatically but CD Writer cannot find it.

                  Re: CD Writer R4 Error

I can burn one CD, but I have great difficulty burning the second (a different cd).

Usually it "stops working", then in the debugger I get:

Unhandled exception at 0x100a4226 in CDWriter.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x00501000.

This is even if you close the program and restart?

                      Re: CD Writer R4 Error

I completed 4 burns with log-outs or restarts between each, but then the problem got worse. Sometimes, after CD Writer crashed, the only way to eject the cd was to re-start my machine.

After Roxio also had difficulty on the 5th (it would not recognize the CDs as writable and would not even attempt to burn, even after a re-start) I believe this not a problem with CD Writer.

I put a different ("normal") type of CD in my laptop's burner and had no problem with CD Writer. So, I will assume something about these CDs with the coating on the top for printing causes issues with my particular burner (extra weight?). Normally these CDs are used in a duplicating tower.
