Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
Using the latest beta I still get the artist showing as "Various Artists" whenever I play a compilation album from the "album" tree. The "Compilation" tag is set to '1', which stopped my previous problem of adding an album and only seeing tracks by one artist.
Also, when I select the "Compilation" tree there are no albums in there. Is this a result of the beta phase or have I missed a setting (quite likely!).

You would have to create a UTF-8 playlist named .m3u8 (open in notepad, select save as then choose the encoding to UTF-8, do not forget to rename .m3u to .m3u8)Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
Oh, found one issue with playlists - if you have a song with a non-ASCII character in it, you can't play it. It comes up with the title mangled and the artist is "Unknown Artist."
In my case, the song is at:
d:\Shares\Music\Freezepop\Hi-five My Remix\01 Super-sprøde.mp3
Note the weird "o-with-a-slash" in the song title.
If I navigate through Album/Artist to Freezepop and select the song manually, it does display and play properly, so this is something specific to playlists.Leave a comment:

Verified that playlists work from Windows Home Server, at least on my Droid X DLNA client. (Will test with PS3 later, but the wife is on it. I'm sure it'll work.)
Thanks!Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
FYI, I just got my Droid X updated to Android 2.2 (Froyo) and updated to the latest Asset beta. If you select AAC, etc. to stream as MP3 (I used 256k) then you can play things on your Android phone using the DLNA client. It doesn't seem to support WAV or LPCM.
I will try out playlists tonight.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
Hi Spoon,I installed the latest build of Asset Control, and it shows the songs in the same wrong order as the Denon does (that is, all track 1's from the 4 discs, followed by all track 2's from the 4 discs, ... ).
i'm new in the forum and because I joined it to find an answer to Michaels statements I just wanna support his request.
I see this problem as a MAJOR issue.

Further testing also reveals that adding multiple genres with the ID tag Update codec (beta) only keeps the last added genre the previous ones are ignored/overwritten.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
OK, thanks that did the trick. Unfortunately Edit ID Tag from R 14 still no joy.
The trick did work using mp3tag. Might be a regression in there.:cry:Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
Edit ID Tag would separate the genres, you would have to remove the genre from the file, click OK, then add it again.Leave a comment:

That is because mp3tag is not writing genre to the vorbis comments specification.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP v3 Discussions
OK so how do I do that, I tried adding a genre field with edit ID-tag but it just overwrites the old one allthough i clearly created a second genre item.
I can't see more that one genre in MP3tag nor in edit IDLeave a comment:
